About the Provider
Dr. Oliver is a Board-Certified Dermatologist dedicated to empowering patients with the knowledge to care for their skin. In a field where physicians of color remain underrepresented—according to the National Institutes of Health, less than 6% of dermatologists identify as Hispanic and only 5% as African American—Dr. Oliver is proud to have trained under some of the nation’s top dermatologists and pioneers in skin of color.
With a special focus on pigmentary disorders, Dr. Oliver specializes in conditions involving excess melanin deposition, commonly known as hyperpigmentation, which can lead to darker patches of skin. These conditions are often more prevalent and severe in individuals with darker skin tones. Historically, dermatologic conditions affecting people of color have been under-researched, and medical textbooks lacked representation of diverse skin tones, making it difficult to recognize how various conditions appear on different complexions. Fortunately, this is changing, and Dr. Oliver is committed to ensuring that all patients, especially those with skin of color, receive informed and comprehensive care.
Dr. Oliver welcomes patients ages 12 and older.
